St. Pius X Elementary school is a Catholic elementary parish academy fully approved by the State of Tennessee and fully accredited by the office of the Diocesan Catholic Schools of Nashville and is also fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The primary purpose of St. Pius X Classical Academy is to provide a Christ-centered atmosphere in which students may grow in truth and love. The academy’s philosophy stems from basic Catholic teaching as it is applied to the process of education. Therefore, its program is directed toward the spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical growth of each student. The Catholic Church recognizes the parents as the primary educators of their children. St. Pius X Classical Academy strives to impart a Christian education, which will enable students to take their place as well-rounded Christian citizens in their community and to prepare them to live the Gospel and to spread it. Catholic parents have a serious obligation in conscience to see that their children attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. Parents of other Christian faiths should see that their children give worship to God by attending the church of their choice each Sunday.
