School Notes:
- Asalaamu alaikum. You have found a special place, where Faith, Wisdom, and Service are the hallmarks. Al-Hedayah Academy, founded in 1992 as a Preparatory Islamic School, serves the Muslim community of Tarrant County and beyond. We offer a mind-broadening education from Pre-Kindergarten to 9th grade that welcomes students to learn and to grow in an atmosphere nurturing each student’s faith and intellect. We want to welcome you to a school that changes lives. Al-Hedayah’s faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students find what they are called to do with their lives by identifying and strengthening their knowledge, skills, talents, and abilities through application of the Institution’s core values: Courage, Integrity, Kindness, Respect, Responsibility, Scholarship and Tolerance. These core values are demonstrated through an appreciation of diversity and differences that will enable our students to live in a society with different cultures, religions, situations, and points of view. These values are profoundly Islamic values. They are values that our forefathers and the founding fathers of this Nation engendered which propelled them to greatness. The Elementary School building currently houses Pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade. Additionally, there are classrooms for the instruction of Arabic and Islamiat, a large spacious multimedia area with a library and conference room, a lunchroom, sickbay, specialized bathrooms with a shower, lockers, and the administrative offices. The Middle School building currently includes classrooms for grades five through nine, science and computer labs, Arabic and Islamiat, a lunch room (referred to as the Atrium), small kitchen, a variety store, storage and offices, specialized bathrooms with ablution areas, built-in lockers and coat racks, Beginning in 2009 Al-Hedayah will be accepting 2 year old children into our licensed Childcare Program. The 2 and 3 year old classroom will be separate from our Pre-K (4 year old) and Kindergarten (5 year old) programs. It is anticipated in the 2009-10 academic year to add 10th grade as an addition to the expansion of our High School program. We have reached out to the local colleges to help us with our college preparatory high school program. Mobile classrooms have been purchased and we are working diligently with the City of Fort Worth and construction engineers to make sure they are installed and fully functional before the start of the 2009-10 academic year.
