FCA meets or exceeds all academic requirements set forth by the Texas Education Agency. Students compete regionally in speech, spelling, science, art, and music competitions through ACSI.
- Accreditation:
FCA is accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) which is recognized by Texas Education Agency. FCA is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). We participate in Christian Schools Athletic Fellowship (CSAF).
- Co-Curricular Classes:
FCA offers co-curricular classes in art, Spanish, physical education, library, and technology. The students have chapel once a week and Bible class daily.
- Curriculum:
FCA uses A Beka, BJU, Alpha Omega (Horizons), ACSI, and Glencoe/Merrill publishers. FCA staff conduct an on-going evaluation of secular and Christian publishers to select the textbooks which match our Mission Statement.
- Discipline:
FCA believes in consistent, Biblical discipline in partnership with parents which includes time out, loss of privileges, and corporal punishment. Discipline measures are established to train and build character into the lives of students making them "disciples" of Christ. If the student does not conform to Biblical principles, expulsion is an option.
- Dress Code:
FCA students adhere to a uniform dress code.
- Enrollment:
FCA offers education for infants through 12th grade. Call the school office at 817-457-2345 to obtain an enrollment packet or to schedule a tour of the facilities and classrooms. A placement test is required for all students in grade 1-12 to ensure success within the advanced curriculum. The principal interviews parents and students to exchange vision and goals.
- Event Calendar:
Grandparent's Day; Pep Rallies, Athletic Games and Tournaments; Christmas Musical; Academic Competitions; 4th-5th grade Texas History Trip; 6th-8th grade Washington D.C. - History:
History of Fellowship Christian Academy - FCA began in 1979 as Meadowbrook Christian School (MCS) in the facilities of Bethel Temple as a ministry to the community. In 2004, MCS merged with Legacy Preparatory Academy to form Meadowbrook Legacy Christian Academy (MLCA). In 2006, MLCA moved from the facilities of Bethel Temple into the facilities of Celebration Fellowship and changed its name to Fellowship Christian Academy.
