West Chase Methodist School is an outreach ministry of West Chase United Methodist Church and was founded in 1971 as a Mother’s Day Out Program.
The school received national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 1998 and is currently accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Commission (NECPA).
West Chase is also an active member in the Collaborative for Children network, a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of early care and education in the Houston area, and licensed by the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services.
Our philosophy is based upon the concept of nurturing the whole child.
Our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children and provides experiences that enhance the child’s cognitive, language, social/emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
We believe children need hands on learning opportunities and should be given the freedom to enjoy self-directed activities.
Activities are well planned and researched to provide the best lessons for your child.
Our teachers serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, and responsive to each child’s individual needs.
We believe parents and teachers work as partners to provide the best possible care and education for children.
