MICAYLA VERA, a studio art major from Plainview, will carry the banner for the College of Visual and Performing Arts on Saturday during summer commencement at Texas Tech University. Vera will be among more than 1,250 students receiving diplomas during the event, which begins at 9 a.m. in the United Spirit Arena.
