The Lycée Français La Pérouse is the only total immersion French school in the Bay Area, preparing students from many different nationalities to enter competitive universities in the United States and around the world. The Lycée commits to your child from PreK1 through 12th grade, and follows a curriculum that is established and overseen by the French Ministry of Education. We are a truly multicultural environment, with students from many different nationalities coming together to engage in a proven college preparatory curriculum. The Lycée is a single solution college preparatory school that is ideal for engaged, active learners who are not afraid of academic challenge. We have three campuses, two in San Francisco and one in Marin.

  • Our program is designed to provide our students with a structured, well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills. Our unique curriculum fosters autonomy, initiative, self-esteem and the respect of others through cooperation and responsibility. As a result of a Lycée education, students are culturally literate, adept critical thinkers, prepared for college and capable of conducting themselves with ease anywhere in the world. We have high expectations of the school, of the teachers, and of the students. The Lycée Français La Pérouse offers the children of multiculturally minded Bay Area families a rigorous curriculum focused on French-language immersion and academic excellence. Following the French national system, this PreK1 through 12th grade program exceeds all requirements set by both France and the United States, and provides full preparation for both European and North American colleges and universities. The diverse and international nature of our students and faculty fosters a spirit of commu¬nity and respect that prepares our students to be responsible global citizens. The Lycée has three campuses, two in San Francisco and one in Marin County, a twenty-minute drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The newly renovated San Francisco campuses house classes from preschool to 5th grade, and from 6th to 12th grade. The two locations have enclosed playgrounds, libraries, com¬puter labs, multipurpose rooms, and fully equipped science labs. The Marin primary school, in the town of Corte Madera, is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is surrounded by green parks with open-space hiking trails nearby. There are three playgrounds; a gymnasium; enclosed gardens; and soccer, base¬ball, basketball and volleyball grounds adjacent to the school.
