    MANCHESTER --They’ll be working to repeat as state champions, but this year it’ll be at a new level. A season ago, the Burr and Burton Academy girls varsity ice hockey team defeated Missisquoi Valley Union, 3-2, in the Lake Division state title game for the Bulldogs’ second crown in three years.

    Bookshop marks 30 years under current owners BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Bookshop, which is marking 30 years under the current owners, Rick and Ellen Havlak, was established in 1928 by Ron Sinclair. Sinclair had purchased the Griswald Department Store, which was located approximately where the Bennington Banner now stands.
