WHO ARE WE? Corpus Christi Catholic School is comprised of two campuses: St. Philip and St. Anthony. The St. Philip campus, also called the Early Childhood Center (ECC), is for Preschool and Kindergarten. The St. Anthony campus, also called the Elementary/Middle School Campus, is for Grades 1 to 8. We are accredited by the Virginia Catholic Education Association (VCEA). It is authorized by the Virginia State Board of Education. In 2009, Corpus Christi was awarded “A Blue Ribbon School of Excellence” by the Department of Education. The Preschool program is open to children at least 3 years old and potty-trained by September 30 of the school year. The Kindergarten program is open to children who have turned 5 years of age by September 30 of the school year.

PRESCHOOL: This program is open to children at least 3 years old
and potty-trained by September 30 of the school year. We
offer extended care from 7:00 am - 6 pm to assist families with
work and various schedules. Lunch is offered for full day
preschool and children staying for aftercare. SCHEDULE 3 years old
- 2 days (Tuesday and Thursday) 8:50 am - 11:50 am
- 5 days (Monday to Friday) 8:50 am - 11:50 am
- 4 years old
- 3 days (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) 8:50 am - 11:50 pm
- 5 days (Monday to Friday) 8:50 am - 11:50 am
- 5 days (Monday to Friday) 8:50 am - 2:50 pm
- The student body meets at the front porch at 8:50 am for a brief morning prayer prior to the start of the school day. This activity teaches each child the value of thanking the Lord for a brand new day. STUDENT/TEACHER RATIO (1:10) Each class will have a teacher and an assistant. The maximum number of students per class is 20. CURRICULUM
- Character Development: Social manners and Catholic values are fully integrated into student activities.
- Academics: Reading Readiness, Science, Social Studies, Cultural Arts, Music, Art, early Math
- Handwriting Without Tears Program is offeredfor our 4’s classes.
- Technology: Each classroom is equipped with computers and educational software; A mobile laptop cart is available for classrooms to use
- Children programs: Prayer Services, Songfests, Christmas shows, vendor-sponsored children programs
- Parent Feedback: Parent-teacher conferences, newsletters, each class has own share point site and parent volunteer services are examples of methods used to maintain a strong communication channel between teachers, parents, and students.

- Security: A gate located in the hallway between the church and the school is used to prevent non-student body from entering the building. During school hours, both the front and back doors are locked; entry must be made at the front desk. School wide intercom system.

- SUMMER CAMPS This program is open to children who are upcoming preschoolers through rising 4th graders. Detailed information is provided at the end of the school year. KINDERGARTEN: This program is open to children who have turned 5 years of age by September 30 of the school year. We offer extended care from 7:00 am - 6 pm to assist families with work and various schedules. SCHEDULE 5 days (Monday to Friday) 8:25 am - 2:55 pm The student body meets at the front porch at 8:25 am for a brief morning prayer prior to the start of the school day. This activity teaches each child the value of taking the time to thank the Lord for a new day. STUDENT/TEACHER RATIO (1:18) The maximum number of students per class is 28. Each Kindergarten class has their own assistant in the morning. CURRICULUM

- VA Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening(PALS): Each child is required to take this test during the school year to ensure he/she will be provided with the appropriate level of literacy materials.
- Children programs: Songfests, Christmas Pageant, vendor-sponsored children programs
- Children’s Liturgy: Students attend Mass once a month to develop their faith-based education.
- Field Trips: Several field trips in the Northern VA/DC Metropolitan are scheduled throughout the year.

- Participate in both the poetry and art contests at the elementary campus.
