Providence Baptist School
School Notes Overview:
Providence Christian School was founded in 1981 by the members of Providence Baptist Church, as a testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the dedication of training young people for the glory of God. Providence Christian School stands firm on the solid foundation of Bible principles and maintains high Biblical standards for its faculty and students. Providence Christian School uses the A Beka curriculum, a strong phonics-based program that concentrates on the basic skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Our students are tested annually with the Stanford Achievement Test. Providence Christian School is a member of ODACS, and participates in the fine arts and academic competitions each Spring. In order to maintain a safe and secure school, the entrance will remain locked. Please ring the doorbell for admittance. A staff member stationed at the security desk will ask for an ID from anyone we do not recognize. Staff members will escort children to and from class any time school is in session. The teachers at Providence Christian School are dedicated to the Lord, their students and their jobs - in that order. They present a profound commitment to the cognitive, spiritual, creative and physical welfare of each student individually. It is this commitment that forms a student/teacher bond which is carried on throughout the academic year. The teachers at Providence Christian School realize that although they teach the child for one year, they have a deep impact on the child's life in many years to come. They realize that whether the impact is positive or negative, every form of attitude enveloped in every word impacts the child's future performance. Therefore they are dedicated to being a positive influence in their lives....
