Welcome to Mercy High School, a Catholic school with a tradition of excellence in education in Red Bluff since 1882. Our roots are connected to the Sisters of Mercy who founded our school first as Our Lady of Mercy Academy and today as Mercy High School. We continue to celebrate the Mercy traditions and honor our Mercy history and mission although, since the 1980's, we have been a diocesan school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento. We are one of five diocesan secondary schools within the Diocese of Sacramento. Mercy High School is a Catholic diocesan, college preparatory school. The objective of the school is to develop the whole person through a nurturing environment in the areas of spiritual and moral formation, intellectual, personal, social, physical and aesthetic development. Mercy combines with the home, the church, and the civic community in the common effort of developing young men and women who will effectively play an important role in changing our society to be more responsive to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of its members....

    Cattle Days pre-entry Sign-ups for the Red Bluff Youth Basketball Coca-cola league are running through Nov. 14 for children in first through sixth grades. The league is Red Bluff Union High School's basketball program's primary fundraiser.

    Red Bluff Elks Lodge #1250 honored September High School students of the month Oct. 15. Students received a certificate and a pen and pencil set. The sponsoring teacher of each student and many family members attended the event.

    The Red Bluff transportation office has chosen Mercy High School to receive a $4,033 donation from Walmart. Private fleet truck drivers for Walmart drove extra carefully during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Aug. 23-29.

    RED BLUFF, CA - The Walmart Foundation made a financial contribution to local schools for every accident-free mile its private fleet truck drivers drove during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.

    Five Tehama County teens were recently selected as the 2009-2010 Tehama County 4-H All Stars. This award is the highest recognition given in the county for 4-H members.
