Mesivta of Greater Los Angeles is a Jewish Orthodox high school that affirms the Torah as eternal and completely relevant to our present-day lives. The primary purpose of Mesivta of Greater Los Angeles is to provide young Jewish men with the educational background at the secondary level necessary to qualify them for positions of leadership in the spiritual and cultural life of American Jewry, as rabbis or educators, in the professions, or in commerce. Greater Los Angeles was founded in September of 1997 as the first boarding high school in a non-urban setting serving the Jewish Orthodox communities west of the Rocky Mountains. Until the founding of our educational institution, parents looking for a Jewish Orthodox boarding school were forced to send their sons across the country.
