Established in 1988, Mills Montessori is a private school located in Millbrae, California. Following both a traditional and contemporary method of Montessori, Mills Montessori strives to fulfill the needs of each child, while recognizes their unique difference both academically and socially. This interdisciplinary institution accepts children starting at age two up until fifth grade. Mills Montessori School is dedicated to providing a warm and accepting environment which promotes the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of each child. We try to establish a sense of freedom in our children, encouraging them to develop their own unique abilities. Children are encouraged to choose their own work, correct it and work without interruption at their own pace. By supporting each child's interests and empowering them to follow their curiosity, we hope to ultimately engender in each child a deep felt sense of self-confidence, both intellectually and socially.
