- God has established and is guiding and leading Hales Corners Lutheran Schools to reach people for Christ as we:
UNITE as a family in the Christian faith
GROW as life long learners in grace, wisdom and character
SERVE God’s children by preparing them for the blessing of eternal life
By the power of the Holy Spirit, we will:
* Teach and share God’s Word, emphasizing the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
* Nurture and encourage the faith of the children and their families, empowering them to serve others and share the Good News.
* Guide children to a personal relationship with Jesus.
* Foster God-given talents and abilities through quality curriculum and enriching activities within a safe environment.
We live in an atmosphere of Christian love and support for one another. Our teachers are exceptional in their devotion to their students and the families that honor us with their presence.
Our teachers have degrees and state certification. Many have Master's Degrees. Hales Corners Lutheran Elementary School is certified by the National Lutheran School Accreditation and the North Central Accreditation Commissions.
Learning is fun. Academic challenges are given, cooperative efforts are encouraged, opportunities for exploration and discovery abound and the Word of God is integrated throughout the school day.
Every class has "Jesus time" daily. Our pastors interact with the students. Chapel services are held weekly at the appropriate developmental level. We follow God's command to "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) Worship at Hales Corners Lutheran Church is joy-filled and relevant.
Curriculum is designed by the teachers, with textbooks chosen to enhance the philosophy of education. We consider research results, examine innovative ideas and provide developmentally appropriate academic experiences.
Academic standardized testing confirms above average growth for our students in achievement beyond their innate ability, as well as progress several years beyond their grade level by the time they reach eighth grade.
Students at HCLES enjoy the latest in technology equipment with Internet capabilities in the lab as well as the classrooms.
Hales Corners Lutheran Elementary School offers an exciting array of extra-curricular opportunities for children to develop physical, social, academic and fine arts skills. Extra-curricular sports begin in 5th grade.
Introductory Spanish is taught in grades 1-5.
There is a Learning Resource room where a Reading Specialist addresses students' individual needs. Vision Therapy techniques are incorporated as needed.
A Motor Lab is available for all students to provide movement activities that increase achievement. A Speech and Language Pathologist is available to evaluate, diagnose and offer therapy for speech and language difficulties.
Before and after school care is available to the K-6th grade full-time students from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The faculty and support staff of Hales Corners Lutheran School (LCMS) are committed to providing a quality Christian academic education with life skills based on the saving Gospel message of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. We are developing students who will make a contribution to society in the name of Jesus Christ.
