Windlake and Parkside Elementary Schools has a partnership between Seeds of Health, Inc., a non-profit social service agency, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In all of our elementary programs, every child’s needs are addressed on an individual basis by a caring, empathetic staff, taking into account each child’s specific interests, learning style and talents. Our highly trained and state-certified teachers provide well-rounded instruction, preparing your students for lifelong learning. The staff specializes in providing the unique, fundamental support necessary for children living in an urban environment. Windlake offers first grade through fifth grade classes and Parkside offers full day K4 and K5 programs. The curriculum focuses on the skills necessary for lifelong learning, emphasizing basic skills along with social and emotional development. Children receive instruction in reading, math, art, physical education, music and library sciences. The elementary programs of Seeds of Health believe that ongoing communication with families is essential for successful learning. In addition to regularly scheduled parent-teacher conferences, parents are encouraged to participate in classroom activities, field trips and a variety of parenting classes offered throughout the school year....
