St. Aemilian-Lakeside Inc. in Milwaukee has been awarded the state of Wisconsin child welfare contract for Milwaukee County that the incumbent agency, La Causa Inc., is canceling this year, the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families said Monday.

St. Aemilian-Lakeside Inc. will replace La Causa in providing ongoing case management and safety services for about a third of Milwaukee County's abused and neglected children and their families.
