Power surge causes outages in Mayville (Fond du Lac Reporter)

MAYVILLE More than 3,000 customers in the city of Mayville were without electricity following a strong power surge Monday afternoon. Mayville Deputy Fire Chief Tom Stommel said the surge in power blew out a large breaker in the citys substation around 12:20 p.m. causing a major power outage in the city.
