Our Staff The staff at Zion Lutheran works diligently to provide for the mental, spiritual and emotional growth of every student.  Parents and teachers communicate with each other on a regular basis, strengthening the home-school partnership.   Academics Zion is a close-knit, small school.  This is great for education!  Our student to teacher ratio for the 2012-2013 school year will be 14 to 1.  There is plenty of opportunity for individualized instruction and assistance.  Zion has an Extended Learning Program to assist students that require additional support from the regular classroom.   Zion consistently performs above state and national averages in reading, science, and math.  This means that our students consistently make smooth academic transitions into high school.   Technology is rapidly reshaping the world’s workforce!  Children need to develop technological skills to be productive citizens in our country.  Technology is a strong focus at Zion.  Our goal is to make sure our students are competent and responsible consumers of technology.  Students in grades 3-8 use computers almost everyday for a variety of assignments including typing, word processing, data collecting, visual presentations, and collaboration.  Teachers incorporate technological resources frequently to enhance student learning and achievement. School Reviews:

  • Recommended April 18,2013 - Completely agree with parent who reviewed in Feb. The faculty strives for constant self-improvement, and encourages my kids to strive for their full potential as well. Music is a big part of the experience at Zion, and physical fitness is incorporated in daily life beginning in kindergarten. All these things are great, but mainly we love Zion because the focus of every day is the love of Christ. If I can''t be with my kids all day to teach them and share God''s love with them, I can''t think of another group of people who I''d rather have them learn from than the Zion faculty.*-Posted by Parent *
  • Recommended February 14,2013 - The teachers are outstanding at this school. I have 3 children that attend and I couldn''t imagine them being anywhere else. The environment is caring and supportive. With it being a small school everyone (teachers, aids, office staff, and students) are always looking out for each other and promoting Christian values. Teachers lead by their wonderful example and students are taught love and respect for each other. Teachers incorporate many different styles of teaching which keep all my kids involved and excited about school. They love going to school every day! Students also score high in overall test scores. This school is accredited, as well. I like that I feel my child is safe in the environment. Highly recommend if considering. We couldn''t be happier.*-Posted by Parent *

Make Summer a Special Time! Make Summer a Special Time!
If you have children in private school, then you are most likely looking at three months, perhaps even longer, which you must fill with activities of one kind or another during the long summer break.
