School Notes:

  • Our Mission: Pacific Northwest Academy is a center of academic excellence where students, educators, and families actively participate in a shared visionary model of education. Students develop the academic, physical, moral, social and emotional skills to realize their unique potential. Our culture fosters respect for spirituality, family and community while preparing students to be contributing world citizens.
  • Imagine a school environment where each child is valued and nurtured as an individual, yet sees himself as part of a larger community. PNA teachers believe that every child has the ability to learn. Parents partner in their child's education. There is a panorama of rich expression from a 1st grader's self-portrait done in the style of Andy Warhol, to surprised smiles over a hatching praying mantis egg, to a toga-clad performance of Julius Caesar. At PNA you'll see that and more, as educators, students and parents come together to achieve academic excellence and strong values.
  • Key success factors such as small class size and rigorous curriculum are reinforced by a culture of academic excellence, family support and community involvement. Parents and teachers partner to give each student the rich educational experience they deserve. By including values & character education and community service in the curriculum we empower each child to be a responsible student and a member of their larger community.
  • PNA teachers are talented, passionate educators. Each day they create a nurturing, supportive classroom environment where students are encouraged to think, explore, discover and create. They keep an open dialogue with parents about students' progress. And as excellent role models and mentors, our dedicated faculty not only help children to be successful students but also to become successful individuals.
  • PNA emphasizes each individual's potential to be a positively contributing world citizen. Our faculty has created a comprehensive recycling program in which our students learn hands-on the possibilities of and responsibility for a sustainable planet. Our students are also offered a healthy hot lunch program provided by Milk & Honey Catering.
