- The curriculum at Boston Trinity Academy pushes each and every student to achieve the most they can by setting high expectations and providing rich opportunities for students to learn. Students are challenged to intellectually grapple with the material which is read, discussed, and written on.
- The academic rigor begins in the 6th grade, where, for example, students study English for 90 minutes a day, reading quality literature, and focusing on producing great pieces of writing.
- Continuing on through the upper school, it is required that each student successfully complete a minimum of four Advanced Placement courses by the time they graduate from the Academy. AP courses are offered in English, Science, Math, and History; currently the Academy offers seven AP courses. The program has been proven to work; four of our first fifteen students who will graduate from BTA in 2006 were National Merit Scholarship Qualifiers.
- BTA utilizes the rich in educational resources in Boston as a part of the curriculum. From attending lectures at local universities to visits to museums, the Academy believes that there is much to learn from the city of Boston. The BTA faculty and administration are also committed to providing opportunities for students to study beyond Boston. For example, students have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to study at The American School in Switzerland, Lugano. Each summer, two BTA students earn the privilege to study with students from around the world in the picturesque campus overlooking Lake Lugano.
- Boston Trinity Academy seeks to encourage its students to strive not only intellectually, but also physically and creatively. Our competitive athletic program teaches students how to handle success and failure with grace and humility. Similarly, our Arts program affords students the opportunity to study both visual and performing arts.
- We strive to develop moral integrity the traditional virtues of courage, wisdom, self-restraint, and kindness in our students by teaching and modeling these and other elements of good character. All students are required to subscribe to our Honor Code and encouraged to participate in community service.
