We educate children with special learning needs, including: Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Speech and Language Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD), Anxiety, high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), and many others. Our students learn in a safe school setting in classrooms of 12 students or fewer and are taught by our Florida certified teachers. Many students receive on-site occupational, physical and speech therapies, which are included in the cost of tuition. We accept the John McKay Scholarship and provide financial aid to qualifying families.

School Notes:

  • We adhere to the Diocese of Venice curriculum and Florida Catholic Conference Standards. We utilize integrated education modules, which include: reading, mathematics, language arts, science and social studies and music.

    All of our classes provide our students with the knowledge and confidence they will need to see them into their future. Our classes include programs that build a foundation of character and service to the community.

    Our core curriculum utilizes:

    SPIRE, (Specialized Program Individualizing Reading Excellence) which is a phonetic-based program for direct instruction for reading class. It provides the student with a sound base in which to help the student become a strong reader.

    Spelling Connections, which helps our students will retain, internalize, and transfer valuable spelling knowledge for improved results in all areas of literacy, in the classroom and beyond.

    Daily 5: CAFE strategies, which is an acronym for Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary. The system includes goal-setting with students in individual conferences, posting of goals on a whole-class board, developing small group instruction based on clusters of students with similar goals, and targeting whole-class instruction based on emerging student needs.

    Voyages in English: Grammar and Writing, responds to the needs of teachers and students, Voyages in English provides ample opportunities for practice and review to ensure mastery and improved performance on standardized tests.

    enVision MATH Florida is a daily problem-based Interactive math learning followed by visual learning strategies deepen conceptual understanding by making meaningful connections for students and delivering strong, sequential visual-verbal connections. Ongoing diagnosis & intervention and daily data-driven differentiation ensure that enVision MATH gives every student the opportunity to succeed. 

    Pflaum Religion is a national educational publishing and media company exclusively serving the K-12 and higher education markets. Pflaum publishes a wide range of materials for Catholic religious education including Pflaum Gospel Weeklies for preschool through Grade 8, Faith Activities for Catholic Kids with editions for Grades 1-6, Together in Jesus sacramental preparation programs for primary grades, mini-courses for junior and senior high Confirmation preparation, and Children Celebrate! products for Liturgy of the Word with Children.
