The Healdsburg School is a private, independent school, grades K-8, providing a student-teacher ratio of 8:1 and average class size of 18.  Based upon solid educational and brain research, our program focuses on a learner-centric system, teaching children how to think, not what to think.  Critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills are developed in a thematic, integrated, hands-on articulated curriculum with connections to the real world.  Preparing children for participation in an ever changing global community, our students study both Mandarin and Spanish beginning in Kindergarten.  The Healdsburg School is proud to be a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, international education.
