Groton Community School is an early childhood center committed to interacting with each child as a unique individual and is dedicated to giving each child and his/her family the most positive first school experience.
Our programs are designed to offer children opportunities to explore and discover their world.
We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences that welcome self-expression and creative thinking.
We work to provide an environment in which children are able to make real choices in an atmosphere of acceptance and cooperation.
We help children attain success in intellectual, creative, and social endeavors while always being aware of their need for love, belonging, guidance, and respect.
An emphasis is placed on fostering independence while gaining social skills, providing a language-rich environment, and recognizing the importance of physical development.

School Reviews

We have been so happy at Groton Community School for the past 4 years. Both my kids love going every morning and sometimes are a little sad on Saturdays when it is a non school day. The teachers are wonderful and engaging. Such a fantastic environment for little ones.

I can not say enough about Groton Community School!! When looking into preschools for my son, my search abruptly stopped as soon as I walked into GCS. The teachers and staff have created such a warm and welcoming environment that it didn''t even compare to other schools. My son absolutely loves going each school day and my husband and I love knowing he is at such a wonderful place where he can play, learn and build such a positive foundation for all his schooling ahead! I highly recommend Groton Community School!

Groton Community School has surpassed our expectations! Our children have attended the Camp Kaleidoscope summer program in addition to the school year programs. The environment is nurturing and educational; the staff is focused on the well being and growth of every child who walks in the door. I walk away knowing my children are in very loving hands that I can trust unconditionally. My third little one will be attending the toddler program when he''s old enough to gain exposure to all GSC has to offer for his preschool/pre-K needs! Check out the school website for more information and pictures of the building and grounds (the outdoor space/playground is awesome!).
