Newbury Academy is an alternative high school for every kind of student. As of September 2008, Newbury Academy is now a real time virtual school, with all classes conducted online. It still serves the Dumont, NJ area, but is now also available for the Brick, NJ area, as there are teachers in both areas available for the weekly home visits. Every child on this earth is here for a special reason, to grow, to become the best that he or she can be, to make our world a little better than when he or she came into it; so that with education, he or she can help others who will follow. Newbury Academy is a part of this process. With our online classes, we are able to give the individual attention to students who need it. Newbury Academy is dedicated to freeing the high school student from frustration and failure, and helping each student set a course for independence, accomplishment of skills and self-determination; where learning is an adventure.
