School Notes Overview:
The Longview school serves students ages 14-21 who have identified emotional and behavioral disabilities. We accept students who are aware of their issues and or able to respond to feedback and redirection. Our students must be willing to participate fully in academic classes, individual counseling and group counseling. The Longview school at Summit Center is New Hampshire’s premier, alternative state approved diploma granting high school. While following New Hampshire Curriculum Frameworks, basic skills, content, and values are taught through experiential, hands-on opportunities. Students must be of average intellectual ability and capable of performing in a small -group setting. We recognize the varying achievement levels of our students and have created a learning environment that addresses individuals’ academic needs based on established goals. In addition to a range of required academic courses, exciting options for elective classes are available courses taught by visiting artists, woodworking, ornithology, small engine mechanics, bike maintenance, desktop publishing and many more. The Longview faculty are highly qualified, skilled and dedicated professionals.
