School Notes Overview:
San Xavier Mission School is determined to provide the highest quality of Catholic education in the Tucson area, currently we serve grades K-8. Since 1864, we have provided a Catholic education for the Tohono O’odham people and more recently have opened up our enrollment to all. Our staff is experienced and committed to excellence in the education and formation of all our students. San Xavier Mission School is committed to educate, nurture, and empower Tohono O’odham students, other Native American students, and students of all cultures, to strengthen their living expression of the Catholic faith. Our diverse academic program develops a student’s respect for tradition and culture as well as provides the necessary skills to succeed in an ever changing world. We at San Xavier Mission School strive to relate all of like to the Good News of Salvation so that the light of faith will shine through everything that the students learn within their Catholic education. Privileged to participate in this challenge, we are called to teach the Good News, to build community, and to serve the needs of the goal and universal Catholic Church. San Xavier Mission School joins students, teachers, principal, pastor and staff as parts of one community. Parents are central figures since they are the primary educators of their children....

The west tower at the historic Arizona church Mission San Xavier del Bac emerged just before Christmas from the scaffolding that restoration workers had been using, completing a five-year project that cost $2.5 million.
