School Notes:

  • A Lasallian school, sponsored by the San Francisco District and supported by the New Orleans/Santa Fe District, San Miguel High School has grown from 50 students in 2004 to 350 in 2009. We have graduated our first two senior classes (2008 and 2009), and are proud to report that 100% of our graduates went on to college. We credit the success of our students to three things: commitment on the part of themselves and their families to work hard academically, participate in student life activities, and dedicated five days per month at a professional internship, where they have learned how to be productive, competent, integral members of an office staff. Students hold jobs at law and accounting firms, engineering and archtectural companies, college and university settings, hospitals and clinics, learning work ethic, office politics and content competencies for each kind of work environment. In return, the companies help pay the tuition costs of our students, making this quality education affordable to anyone willing to work hard to achieve it.
