Fayrine Brown couldn't afford to siphon any more money from her retirement account to pay the $4,578 monthly rent to keep Capers Preparatory Christian Academy open. All but a couple of students at this small, six-year-old private school live in poverty and can't afford the $350 per month in tuition, so Brown relies on donations to cover the school's bills.
