High Desert Montessori & Child Care Center was founded in March 1980 with the goal of providing educational excellence for children in the California High Desert.
With over 25 years of service to the community, the school has worked very hard to earn this reputation.
Formerly known as Sequoia Montessori School, High Desert Montessori is now one of the fastest growing schools in California.
We are also the only private school in San Bernardino County that has received funding from both the State of California and The Children and Families Commission of San Bernardino.
These funds have allowed us to greatly increase the services and the number of families we serve in the High Desert.
High Desert Montessori & Child Care Center provides the "prepared environment" that is essential to a Montessori education.
This environment includes scaled furniture, child-sized brooms, mops, and other cleaning items, individual work spaces, and scientifically designed Montessori learning materials.
