Poseidon School is a non-public, non-profit, secondary coeducational day school. We provide a comprehensive individualized academic, clinical, and vocational program to meet the unique needs of adolescents who are bright but have learning, emotional and/or social problems. Our students come from all over the greater Los Angeles area to a small, safe, tightly structured, urban campus environment where they can learn to succeed in an atmosphere of trust and safety. Because of their problems in school, our students have trouble negotiating the world outside of school. Such students, who are struggling with low-self esteem, often are viewed by society as stupid, lazy, uncaring or simply troublemakers. They become victims of misunderstanding and misdiagnosis.
