The purpose of Fort Worth Montessori School is to provide an environment that respects and nurtures a child’s inner drive toward maturation and learning.
In addition to educators, teachers act as guides, counselors, resource persons, and friends.
All children bring their own energies and intensity to the adventure of learning: an interest and enthusiasm for learning that any visitor can see.
Thus, while even the youngest children may receive specific lessons in certain areas, the main emphasis is on preparatory activities designed to develop a readiness for eager learning later in life.

I can not say enough good things about our family''s experience at Fort Worth Montessori School. The staff is incredibly loving and our two children are excelling in all areas of development. When my oldest daughter was 26 months old she taght me how to count from 1 to 10 in Japenese! This is not because my child is brilliant but because of the incredible curriculum. Not only is the education excellent but their constant focus on teaching the children grace and courtesy and they are truly our partners in raising our children. They have quarterly seminars for parents to come and visit with teachers in the evenings after business hours regarding everything from the Love and Logic method of parenting/descipline to bringing Montessori into the home. We absolutely LOVE this school!!!

Fort Worth Montessori School in Southwest Fort Worth is a wonderful place. My husband and I had our first child, Parker (girl Parker not boy Parker) in November of 2011. I interviewed and looked at around 5 or 6 different day care/schools where we could take a 6 week old baby. The most welcoming, comfortable, safe, nurturing place I found was FWMS, and I got all of this from my short 30 minute visit. We have been at FWMS now for 9 months and still love it! There has been a few teachers come in and out of the infant room that Parker is in which can be nerve racking. Thankfully Parker''s primary care teacher has stayed this whole time. Ms. Alana, Parker''s main teacher, is absolutely wonderful! She is very bright and in tune with all of the babies needs, likes, dislikes, habbits, preferences, etc.. She talks about the babies as if they were her own, I can''t tell you how at ease and comforting this is to me as a new parent. Ms. Alana has also trained the new employees that are now in the infant room so I am confident there will be consistency in Parkers care. Ms. Tsianina and Ms. Pat are also wonderful! Ms. Tsianina and Ms. Pat have always been very good at letting us know when they are interviewing or hiring a new employee. They let us know the date and time the new employee will be starting or helping out and encourage us to be there to get to know them and ask questions. Oh and I didn''t even mention that FWMS has the best ratio at 2:1 for the babies!! My other favorite things about FWMS are the baby sign language class they held for the teachers but opened it up to the parents, music class, and many other school events. FWMS has been a blessing to our family and we look forward to many more years here.
