The Waldorf School of St. Louis is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian school, located in the St. Louis metropolitan area, providing education beginning in early childhood, and is currently enrolling through Grade 8.
We are a developing school member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
The mission of The Waldorf School of St. Louis is to provide an educational environment for the healthy development of the whole child by strengthening the child's affinity with nature, nourishing the child's sense of awe, wonder and creativity, sharing in the unfolding of each child's innate capabilities particularly in the arts and sciences, and building a strong foundation for practical life skills." The Waldorf curriculum that began with the work of Rudolf Steiner, is a unique philosophy employing an approach that addresses the whole child head, heart and hands.
