Kiddie Academy of Upper Freehold, 5 Allyson Way, Allentown, will host a flu shot clinic 4:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 16. Thimerisol free FluMist ($35 per dose) as well as Fluvirin ($30 per dose) shots will be available to patients age 2 and up. For more information, call 609-208-2530.
Fire forces evacuation of child-care center (News Transcript)

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — A lateafternoon fire at the Kiddie Academy childcare and learning center in the Raintree shopping center, West Main Street, caused 25 youngsters to be removed from the school on Sept. 8. The fire was quickly extinguished by the building's sprinkler system and no injuries were reported.

• Monmouth Worship Center, 176 Route 79, Marlboro, is accepting registration for Vacation Bible School to be held Aug. 17-21 from 9 a.m. to noon. During this year's program. titled "Crocodile Dock," children entering preschool through grade 6 will "travel" to the Bayou and experience "swamp living" through Bible lessons, games, crafts and snacks.

Millstone Kiddie Academy will host a free mini-summer camp program at 518 Route 33 west, Millstone Township. The program will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday from July 13 through Aug. 18. Children will be participating in camp activities and projects all summer.

The Greens Restaurant and Banquet Hall, overlooking the Cream Ridge Golf Course on Route 539 in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold, has re-established its Thursday buffet. Priced at $14.95 plus tax and gratuity, the buffet is served 5-9 p.m. every Thursday evening. Children under 12 (one child per adult) dine free.
