Annapolis Area Christian School, founded in 1971, is an independent, Christian day school that concentrates on preparing students for college and for life; that has grown into a robust community of learning that is setting the standard for Christian education in the Baltimore/Washington corridor; whose faculty engages students in a rigorous college preparatory program of learning that is enhanced with electives and extracurricular activities; that stresses basic academic skills and an appreciation of the arts; whose aim is to graduate servant leaders who will represent Jesus Christ faithfully in the world; and whose graduates have been accepted at and have graduated from many of the nation’s leading colleges, universities, and military academies. The seal of the Annapolis Area Christian School provides its full name and the year of its founding, 1971. The school is not Annapolis Christian School, though many refer to it as such. More typically, the school is called AACS. Our name intentionally includes “Area” to reflect the wider region we serve, including the Maryland Eastern Shore and the suburbs of both Washington, DC, and Baltimore. The seal is blue and white with lettering and graphic imagery. Below the seal, yet still a part of it, are the words, “Fusing the love of learning with the desire for God,” which summarize the school's commitment to academic excellence and to faith in Jesus Christ. ...

BASEBALL TRYOUTS: The U14 Bay Blitz travel baseball team will be holding tryouts for players born after April 30, 1995. The seedings for the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A, B and C conference field hockey tournaments have been released. The quarterfinal games will all be played at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
