The Colby School
School Notes Overview:
At The Colby School we celebrate learning! It is our goal to create an enlightened environment where teachers instill a love of learning in each student. Through our comprehensive curriculum, students are equipped to move forward as leaders with knowledge, confidence, and vision. We believe that a complete educational experience requires teaching the “whole child.” We nurture the academic, social, physical, and emotional growth of each student. This balanced approach to learning allows our students to feel safe and secure within their school community, which results to higher levels of retention, self confidence, and social awareness. We encourage them to aspire to their highest potential by assisting them in setting their own personal goals and meeting new challenges. At Colby, students are the stewards of their educational journey. Through an engaging liberal arts curriculum, The Colby School teaches the whole child by providing challenging, developmentally appropriate academic courses integrated with enrichment classes. Our classes are designed to enable kids to learn using their innate multiple intelligences. Students are the center of our learning community. Colby is committed to a culturally and economically diverse student body. About one third of our students receive financial aid. ...
