The place ended up meaning a lot to me but only over months and months of anger, sadness, and remorse. They make you work like a dog and physically restrain you. Glad it closed. No child deserves what went on there.

This school was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I was supported, loved, and taught. My perspective on life changed immensely during my time there. I grew to love life, my family, and most importantly myself. I worked hard, thought hard, and dreamed hard. I entered the school a confused, frustrated teenager and emerged a happy, mature young adult. As a proud graduate of The Discovery School of Virginia for Girls, I can safely say that my life would be devoid of purpose if not for my time spent there.I highly recommend this school as an institution of growth, beauty, and high achievements.

Focuses on changing lives for the better, not on making money. Caring and supportive staff.

This place should be investigated for child abuse, child labor and unsanitary living conditions. It is inhumane and counterproductive to treatment of the impairments that children are sent here for.
