Po Box 21464 1092 Alberta Way, Concord, CA, 94521
Wood Rose offers a complete college preparatory curriculum for grades 9 to 12. Our mission is to develop knowledgeable and virtuous leaders by living the "Gift of Self". We hope to renew our culture by educating young men and women to love learning and their neighbor. The mission of Wood Rose College Preparatory is to develop knowledgeable and virtuous leaders who live the “Gift of Self.” Wood Rose College Preparatory defines “Gift of Self” as service to others members of society through virtuous leadership by example. The Gift of Self idea derives from Christian Personalism, a philosophy perfected by Pope John Paul II. If man realizes that true happiness comes from his conscious effort to serve others through a sincere ‘gift of self,’ then, he can express his love for his fellow man and experience love himself. At Wood Rose College Preparatory a special emphasis is placed on mirroring the hidden life of Jesus Christ, perfect God and perfect Man and the Holy Family as supreme models of individual and family life, and serving each student as a reflection of Christ Himself. It is the goal of Wood Rose College Preparatory to teach this philosophy of the ‘gift of self’ to its entire community by the example of its teachers, board members, parents and students.
