Portland Youth Builders (PYB) is a nonprofit organization that provides educational, vocational, and leadership development programs for low-income men and women aged 17-24. Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1995, PYB is part of a network of over 200 Youth Build programs around the country. Each year, we serve an average of 200 young people in the greater metropolitan area from our facility in outer Southeast Portland. Founded in 1995, Portland Youth Builders is a non-profit organization that provides education, vocational training, and leadership development for very low-income youth. Each year, the program serves an average of 200 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 who have not completed high school and thus face serious barriers to employment. The mission of Portland Youth Builders is to support young men and women who are committed to changing their lives to become self-sufficient, contributing members of the workforce and their community by providing classroom-based education and vocational training; assisting students to develop marketable employment skills by participating in a PYB supervised workplace....
