Heritage Christian Preschool exists primarily to assist parents by providing them a safe and loving environment in which to care for their children, helping them fulfill their divine responsibility to train each child to obey God in every area of life and make him a true disciple of Jesus Christ. We believe our ultimate purpose is to provide quality education in a Christian environment. We believe that all truth is God’s truth not what the world calls truth and real truth has its source in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Every subject is taught with the consciousness that Jesus Christ is to be central in all living and learning. Our program is geared to meet not only the intellectual needs of the child, but his spiritual, physical, and social needs as well. Heritage Christian Preschool provides an environment which encourages each child to discover his unique abilities and to achieve educational excellence. We believe that the ultimate purpose of man is to glorify God; therefore, we expect the staff and students to reflect His image. We believe, in practical terms, that God is glorified when there is an atmosphere of understanding and where the fruit of Christ’s Spirit is constantly being cultivated (Galatians 5:22-23). Glorifying God affects how a person relates to others in his family, church, and community. It also affects life-style, behavior, and overall attitude toward God’s authority-structure (laws of the land handed to us by the men and women elected to govern our land) in the world. Every guideline seeks to help the child understand what is expected of him. We as the Preschool staff, being consistent with what we believe to be God’s purpose, teach with the expectation of laying a foundation on which to grow the child into a responsible adult who will bring honor to God. The Preschool views itself as a ministry of the church, reinforcing the ideals, social norms, and beliefs of the Christian family. Therefore, it is important that parents enrolling their children understand the nature, purpose and philosophy of Heritage Christian Preschool. Our ultimate purpose for existing can be fulfilled only if parents see and agree with where we are leading their child.
