St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #2 - JPII Athletics offers offers students many different sports to choose from. From Football and Baseball to Cross Country and Track. Our Boys Cross Country Team has won the State Championship in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #3 - JPII stresses the importance of academic excellence. We offer students 10 different AP classes, a multitude of Honors classes, tutoring, and ACT prep courses. We have for the class of 2021 an ACT average of 26.6.
St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #4 - Students do not have to be Catholic to come to JPII, but our Catholic identity is a pillar of our school. We have weekly schoolwide mass, Penance services, blessings, adoration, and many faith-based clubs for students to develop their minds spiritually.
St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #5 - Students have many opportunities to express their artistic talents through the JPII Band, Choir, Theatre, Technical Theatre, and Visual Arts programs. Many of our students participate in Solo/Ensemble Competitions and various Art Shows.
St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #6 - Students are encouraged to form bonds with not just their classmates from their grade, but with students throughout the school. We accomplish this through our House System encouraging multi-grade friendships through house service projects, house lunches, and our annual Falcon Feud!
St. John Paul II Catholic High School Photo #7 - JPII's Theatre Department produces 2 main stage shows a year, a fall play and a spring musical. Students also have the opportunity to perform in Talent Shows, Revues, and Competitions throughout the school year. The JPII Thespians won "Best in Show" at the 2021 Walter Trumbauer Alabama State Trumbauer Festival for their Studio Play.

St. John Paul II Catholic High School is the only Catholic parochial high school in the Tennessee Valley and greater Huntsville area.
The school functions under the sponsorship of the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama.
The school is a member in good standing of the National Catholic Educational Association, with accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
