The Episcopal Center For Children

5901 Utah Ave Nw, Washington, DC, 20015-0202
Since beginning in 1894, it has been serving children first as an orphanage, then as a residential facility and now as a day treatment program for emotionally troubled youngsters and their families. Over the years, needs have changed and problems facing troubled children have magnified. We believe in children, their strengths and in what they can be, not in their past inadequacies and failures. Our goal is to enable each child to return to public school and the community, while being able to re-engage with his or her family and have a real opportunity for a successful, emotionally healthy and a productive future.
