    ALABASTER — Meadowview Christian School opened its season with a boys’ victory Tuesday night, bouncing Kingwood 50-32. The leading scorers for MCA were Adam Brown with 13 points (seven steals), Daniel Blackmon and Dustin Freine with 12 apiece and Judson Mott with six.

    SELMA — The Central Christian Academy girls opened the season Monday night with a 57-42 victory over Hooper at home. Sha’nique Coleman led all scorers with 22 points, followed by Kara Rawls with 11 and Chelsea Perry with 10.

    SELMA — Junior quarterback/running back Robert Davis rushed 20 times for an unofficial 117 yards, returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, threw two scoring passes and scampered for three TDs — one that counted — in Central Christian Academy’s best offensive show of the year.

    SELMA — Central Christian Academy returns home Thursday night after a bye week to take on a tough Victory Baptist School team from Millbrook. CCA coach Darrell Walker said the key for the Warriors will be using their heads and their hands.
