School Notes

  • Village School strikes the perfect balance, providing rigorous and inspired academics in a loving, home-like environment. Here we celebrate the gifts and interests of each child. Just like an actual village, we are a close-knit community with time-honored traditions, where kids can experience a true sense of childhood, exploring and taking risks in a safe space.
  • Learning at Village School is innovative, purposeful, and joyful. Beginning in the earliest grades we instill the ethos of "If it's not challenging, I'm not learning." This expectation extends beyond academics to include the social emotional world.
  • The Village Values - caring, courage, fairness, respect, responsibility, and trust - provide a framework for the school`s approach to social learning and ethical development. These values guide students on a daily basis to independently communicate and problem solve empowering them to cultivate their voice, develop empathy, and internalize the values that support their growth and success.
  • Once you join our village, you belong.

The village has been a nurturing and caring environment for both our sons. The high proportion of male teachers and small class sizes are a huge asset. Teacher dedication and quality of instruction are both noteworthy! The school's focus on values and community is also a defining characteristic that has helped our children flourish as they navigate their impressionable elementary years. The new state-of-the-art Innovation Studio where students get to tinker with and learn coding, electronics, robotics, graphic design, virtual reality, 3D Design, photography, animation, etc. has been an important addition to the school. Specialist programs such as Math Lab along with Student Council and Family Circles, Kindergarten Buddy programs - are among many other features that make the school an invigorating environment for elementary children.

Village School is a gem! Our kids are so excited to go to school every day, and that says it all. Teachers are phenomenal, innovative, and care about each student. The facilities are fantastic and are updated regularly. The presence of specialist classrooms and teachers, such as Music, Spanish, Math, Library, Science, and more, offers children an array of subjects they can to stimulate curiosity and learning. Village School prioritizes the whole child, social, emotional learning and academic excellence.
