Ask Nicholas Van Hecke about last year’s St. Augustine Academy golf marathon and you’ll see the smile quickly spread across his face. The smile isn’t just because Nicholas raised $4,530 to help his school, but also from the fact he raised more money than his father, Michael, the school’s headmaster, who totaled $4,145.
