The Young School is a Montessori-inspired, non-profit, non-denominational and fully accredited elementary school offering children from grades 1 through 6.
We are a family-centered school dedicated to fostering respect for each person and building lasting relationships.
At The Young School, high academic standards are integrated into a global perspective of education; a low student/teacher ratio is maintained to enable the children to receive tutorial, individualized instruction; the child's self worth and individuality are honored and developed in a warm, nurturing environment; honesty, compassion, respect, integrity, and human values are taught and modeled; and the child's basic needs for personal expression are nurtured, and the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the child are encouraged.
