Zinsmeyer Academy was established in 1990 in Long Beach.
It is a state-certified nonpublic school that provides education and counseling support to public schools to increase their ability to work with students who are at risk of failing.
We serve male and female students from 4th to 12th grade.
The programs includes door-to-door transportation, individual tutoring, small class size, student/teacher ratio of 6:1, direct instruction strategies, a safe, consistent daily routine, periodic academic testing, individualized education programs for qualified students and school-wide uniforms.
Social skills training (communication, problem solving, decision making, anger management and impulse control) is incorporated into all daily activities.
