School Notes Overview:
Boulder Junior Academy was founded at the foothills north of Boulder Canyon. After occupying several temporary and more permanent locations, a school was built on 4th Street in Boulder in 1954. The school received several additions and remodels in subsequent years. After a century of educating thousands of children within Boulder County, the school’s Board of Directors was challenged with the rapid growth of young families living in the north Denver Metro area. The mission of Boulder junior academy is to inspire learning for life in a Christian environment and our vision is to value caring relationships that promote creativity, excellence, integrity, respect, and stewardship in a Christ-centered context....

Redevelopment of the former Boulder Junior Academy came under scrutiny one more time Tuesday night, as the Boulder City Council decided at the last minute to hold a public hearing on the controversial "area plan" for the site.
