School Notes:
The Hyde School campus in Woodstock, Connecticut is situated on the grounds of a former Catholic women’s college. The 120-acre campus includes spacious classroom buildings and a student union with dining hall, 200-room dormitory facilities, two playing fields, a track and turf field, ropes course and a practice field. The gymnasium includes weight and wrestling rooms and basketball courts.
One of the unique features of the Woodstock campus is a state-of-the-art, 1,017 seat theater, also home to the Opera New England and Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut. Hyde’s Performing Arts program benefits from the theatre’s sophistication. Set in the rolling farmland of northeastern Connecticut just three hours from New York City, Woodstock is a haven of open fields and peaceful woodlands.
