Mead School
School Notes Overview:
The Mead School is an exciting and inviting environment for children. Housed in a cohesive, open and colorful space in lovely North Stamford, CT, we encourage exploration, discovery, engagement and interaction. Our organization is based upon a personalized education, a two-teacher system with children at the center of their learning, and respectful interaction with the parent. First and foremost, our students are the focal point of our community. We believe that each child brings special gifts that are distinctive and valuable to others. The richness of this community is based on the shared talents, values and contributions offered by each individual child. In addition, a supportive atmosphere, with a 6:1 student:teacher ratio, is at the heart of Mead, where our objective is for students to feel safe to take the educational and personal risks that lead to true growth and to learning they will carry with them throughout their lives....
