The Darien United Methodist Church will hold its annual tag sale on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 to noon. Items for sale include furniture, household goods and decorative items, toys, clothes, shoes, sports equipment and books. All proceeds support missions and outreach programs.

Darienites Chase Pizzonia and Kate Lyons kept the Darien Road Race titles local at the 30th running the annual race. On a sunny, 75-degree Sunday, Sept. 20, 510 runners and hundreds of spectators gathered at Darien’s Pear Tree Point Beach to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Darien Road Race.
