St. Francis Home continues to serve children and teenagers each day, and impacts hundreds of families each year. This continuum of services is the direct legacy of the Sisters of Mercy and their care of the orphans left on their doorstep in 1852. And, as the models for behavioral and emotional health service delivery shift, St. Francis Home is working to develop new and innovative ways to help children and their families to be safe, healthy and happy. St. Francis Home offers spiritual, emotional and physical supports that assist children to become happy and productive adults. The Mission of St. Francis Home for Children is: In the fullness of our Catholic heritage, we seek to alleviate the sufferings of children and families of all faiths by providing for their spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.
